The mechanism of action of minocycline hydrochloride is to bind to the ribosome 30S subunit, preventing the extension of the peptide chain and thus preventing protein synthesis. As a broad-spectrum antibacterial tetracycline antibiotic, it has a wider antibacterial spectrum than similar drugs and has a strong inhibitory effect on Gram-positive bacteria including tetracycline-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus, etc. and Gram-negative bacteria such as Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
