Dimenidazole is an animal-specific antiprotozoal drug. Since metronidazole was banned, Dimenidazole is almost the only choice. It is mainly used for avian vibrio hepatitis, necrotic tissue, histotrichomoniasis in turkeys, trichomoniasis in poultry, etc. It also has a good effect on trichomoniasis in cattle. For young turkey tissue trichomoniasis, 100-200 mg/kg feed concentration is used for prevention and 500 mg/kg feed concentration is used for treatment.
