It mainly produces insecticidal effects by affecting the carbohydrate metabolism of worms. It can inhibit fumarate reductase in mitochondria, reduce glucose transport, and is effective against both adults and larval eggs. It belongs to the benzimidazole class of compounds and has a strong affinity with the microtubule protein of the worm body. Therefore, it can prevent the polymerization of microtubules, destroy the transport system of absorbing cells, and activate various lysosomal enzymes, resulting in incomplete absorption and digestion of nutrient particles, resulting in cell self-decomposition.
