Ceftazidime is a semi-synthetic third-generation cephalosporin. Similar to other third-generation cephalosporin, it has a wide range of reactions against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. The difference is that it can effectively fight against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, but it has weak resistance to Gram-positive bacteria, so it will not be used for this infection.

Ceftazidime is clinically used for the following infections caused by sensitive bacteria:
1. Respiratory tract infections, such as pneumonia, bronchitis, lung abscess, lung cystic fibrosis, infectious bronchiectasis, etc. The product can also be used to treat cystic fibrosis patients with Pseudomonas pulmonary infection.
2. Urinary and reproductive system infections, such as acute or chronic pyelonephritis, urethritis, adnexitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc.
