2. It has the effect of anti-keratinization, inhibiting excessive proliferation of epidermal cells and promoting their differentiation, and can reduce the keratinization of hair follicles and sebaceous gland ducts.
3. It can also affect the function of monocytes and lymphocytes, inhibit the chemotaxis of neutrophils and have anti-inflammatory activity.
4. It selectively binds to retinoic acid nuclear receptors to exert a therapeutic effect. It inhibits the proliferation of Propionibacterium acnes, has an immunostimulatory effect at low doses, and has an immunosuppressive effect at high doses.
5. It can inhibit the formation of collagenase and gelatinase in the skin, and can inhibit the activity of ornithine decarboxylase. Because the induction of ornithine decarboxylase can play a major role in skin mutations, isotretinoi can also inhibit the occurrence of tumors.
6.
