Podophyllotoxin is a lignan anti-tumor component extracted from the roots and stems of Podophyllum genus Podophyllum (also known as gallinin) in the Berberiaceae family. It is white crystalline powder, odorless and hygroscopic. Huapophyllum is mainly distributed in my country's Gansu Province and other places. Podophyllotoxin extracted from Chinese podophyllum (also known as galactin) can be made into ointments and tinctures.
