Spiromesifen affects the development of whiteflies and mites, interferes with the biosynthesis of its liposomes, especially has good activity on the larval stages of whiteflies and mites, and can also produce ovarian tube closure, reducing mites and whiteflies. The reproductive capacity of adults greatly reduces the number of eggs laid.
Spiromesifen can effectively control the whiteflies that are resistant to pyriproxyfen, and the combination with diflubenzuron can effectively control the resistant whiteflies. No cross resistance with any commonly used insecticides and acaricides. Through indoor and field experiments, it has been proved that spiroxylate is safe for beneficial organisms and suitable for integrated pest control.
